Huge assortment of food but still felt like they were missing things. Maybe because they offer so much that they can't specialize in one area of cooking. Dumplings in dumpling soup were huge and tasty, with a yummy soup to go with it. Would have loved to have it as a tofu option too. The beef tofu was delish but lots of onion. No egg to crack it into tho. And I wished they had ground or minced beef, vs the slices. But that's just preference. The pork hock was a big portion, but nothing else to call home about. The sauce that came with it was the only way it was tasty. They have a good selection of beer and soju. Though we picked the green grape soju and tasted like Dimetapp Cough Syrup. We had brought some wine (which they don't have) and they would charge a corkage fee. It was my mom's bday, so they waived the charge. They do have a bottle opener, but bring one with a twist top just in case. The Seafood pancake was nicely crisp on the outside and thick. The little appetizer dishes were pretty standard and nothing exciting or super tasty. We normally ask for 2nds and 3rds at other places if it were tasty. We got the jajang noodles too and never had it before and the it was very tasty, but I couldn't figure out what kind of meat was in it and which part. It was very saucy. My parents love this place, so I guess we'll be coming back one day.

I'm giving 4 starts solely for their black bean noodles. I don't know what it is but I'm addicted to their black bean noodles. I've had black bean noodles from multiple Korean restaurants in lower mainland include the ones in Coquitlam but nothing beats the one they have here. I just like it so much and I crave it often. Everything is perfect: the thickness of the noodles, meat chunks, richness of the sauce, etc. If you like Korean black bean noodles, it's worth giving it a try for $9!

I've tried other items from their menu but nothing else is really spectacular here. I personally really like the potato side dish at Korean restaurants, but the one they have here is super dry as you can see in the picture. I wish they were more saucy and flavorful.

All the soup and noodle dishes are reasonably priced. It can get expensive if you order BBQ.

Good value but service is really lacking.  I wouldn't return based on the service.

I have to get this out of the way right off the bat - DO NOT GRAB THINGS OUT OF YOUR CUSTOMER'S HAND.  So freaking rude.  I couldn't believe it.  The waiter didn't think I was cooking our BBQ beef good enough to his liking, and without saying a word, he just grabbed the tongs right out of my hand!  WOW!  I told him to take a hike and bring me new, clean tongs.  He never did.  I finished cooking the beef with chopsticks.

The sides were really good, and the kimchi especially was tasty, as well as the apples.

The soda is served in cans, and I had to ask for a glass of ice.  If I'm in a sit down restaurant, I am not going to drink out of a freaking can.

The guy with me was a Korean virgin and he couldn't deal with chopsticks either.  The same waiter gave us attitude about asking for a fork for him.  He is white, we get it - don't be a jerk.  At least he was trying something new.

The ambiance is really lacking.  Very bland and not welcoming.

The food is good and the service wasn't as bad as some of the reviews here.

We had Gal-Bi Tang and the lunch set 109. Soup is really tasty and big portion.

Best galbitang I have ever had. Can't really beat it's broth and fall off the bone beef. Reasonably priced and not expensive which is a good thing. If anything is priced a couple dollars more, I can see customers not coming back. All the spicy soups are wonderful as well, would recommend getting the spicy one if you want the heat.
